Quick verdict

Best for
Small recruitment agencies, freelance recruiters and small in-house teams that want an ATS and CRM in one tool at a low per-seat price.
Not ideal for
Teams that need deep custom reporting, lower-tier HRIS or payroll connections, or a permanently free plan.
Starting price
$15 USD per user per month, billed annually ($19 monthly)
Key strength
Published pricing bundles an ATS, recruitment CRM, sourcing tools and AI matching, with AI features listed on every paid tier.
Key weakness
The entry tier caps jobs and candidates, while automation, API access, SSO and the advanced report builder require higher tiers.

Manatal is cloud recruitment software that combines an applicant tracking system (ATS), a recruitment CRM, candidate sourcing and AI-assisted matching. It is aimed at small recruitment agencies, freelance recruiters and in-house hiring teams seeking an affordable per-seat starting point.

What Manatal does

Manatal covers the core recruiting process: create jobs, add candidates, move them through pipelines and collaborate with hiring managers. Candidates can come from manual entry, resume uploads, browser extensions, email forwarding, career pages and job-board connections.

Manatal lists resume parsing, candidate enrichment, job-to-candidate recommendations and scoring, AI-written job descriptions and an AI Copilot. Its pricing comparison shows AI features on all three paid tiers. The CRM also tracks clients and sales activity, making the product relevant to recruitment agencies as well as in-house hiring teams.

An AI Interviewer for automated video screening is available as an add-on. Its price was not listed in the reviewed pricing information.

Sourcing and job distribution

Manatal describes a Sourcing Hub that searches a database of more than 700 million profiles, with search credits controlling usage. The reviewed pricing information did not specify each plan’s credit allowance. Ask about the credit allowance before relying on the hub for niche searches.

The company advertises free and premium job-board channels. One older independent review reported that postings could take 24 to 48 hours to appear. Check whether your priority boards meet your timing needs.

Pricing

Manatal charges per user, with lower listed rates for annual billing. The official page showed these prices on 30 September 2026:

Plan Annual billing Monthly billing Key limits
Professional $15 per user/month $19 per user/month 15 jobs per account, 10,000 candidates
Enterprise $35 per user/month $39 per user/month Unlimited jobs and candidates; workflow automation
Enterprise Plus $55 per user/month $59 per user/month Adds API, SSO, user groups and advanced report builder
Custom Contact sales Contact sales Custom features and integrations

There is no free plan. The 14-day trial does not require a card, but excludes free and premium job-board posting, mass emailing, email automations, AI job descriptions and GDPR consent requests. Some posting features require account verification after subscribing. Singapore tax residents pay 9% GST on top of the listed prices.

The Professional job cap is per account, not per user. Fifteen open jobs shared across an agency can run out quickly. Price the plan against the number of jobs the whole account expects to manage, rather than relying on the entry price alone.

Strengths

  • Published pricing. Manatal shows per-user prices for its three main paid tiers.
  • ATS and CRM together. Agencies can manage client and candidate work in one system.
  • AI features across paid tiers. Manatal lists matching, scoring, enrichment and Copilot on all three tiers.
  • Ease of use. Reviewers on multiple platforms commonly describe it as easy to learn.
  • Sourcing options. Browser extensions, contact lookup and the Sourcing Hub add several ways to find candidates.
  • Privacy and security controls. Manatal describes consent-management tools and states that it has SOC 2 Type II certification. Its security page says data is stored in the US.

Trade-offs and limitations

  • Plan gating. Workflow automation starts at Enterprise. API access, SSO, user groups, custom permissions and the advanced report builder require Enterprise Plus. Include the needed tier when comparing total costs.
  • Reporting. Multiple independent and user-review sources describe reporting and customization as basic relative to larger platforms.
  • Integration depth. Teams that need payroll, HRIS or background-check connections should confirm the available integrations and whether middleware or Enterprise Plus is required.
  • Support and migration. Manatal lists implementation and data-migration assistance, while user reports include uneven experiences. Confirm the specific help included in your plan.
  • Recruitment focus. Manatal is an ATS and recruitment CRM, not a full HR suite with native payroll and wider employee-management functions.

Who Manatal suits

Manatal is worth considering for small recruitment agencies, freelance recruiters and small in-house teams that want candidate tracking and client management together. Its per-seat starting price is low, but the Professional job cap and higher-tier integration features can change the economics as hiring grows.

It is a weaker fit for teams that depend on deep custom reporting, complex approval processes, or broad HRIS and payroll connections at an entry-level price.

Before you buy

  1. Count the open jobs the whole account will manage and compare that with the Professional cap.
  2. Confirm which AI, automation, reporting and integration features are included in your intended tier.
  3. Ask Manatal to confirm Sourcing Hub credits and add-on costs, including AI Interviewer and premium job-board posting.
  4. Use the trial to check a representative candidate import, pipeline and report against your workflow.
  5. Confirm the implementation, migration and support terms for your plan.
  6. Recheck current rates on Manatal’s official pricing page before purchase.

Alternatives

For an agency-centered ATS and CRM, compare Recruit CRM’s workflow and reporting against the needs of your team. Greenhouse is another option to evaluate when structured hiring processes are a priority. If per-seat costs become significant as the team grows, compare Breezy HR’s current pricing model with Manatal’s, using your actual user count and required features.
